Located in Tumwater, Washington, The Schmidt House is a historic mansion wedding venue. Built in 1904 for Olympia Brewing Company founder Leopold Schmidt and his wife, Johanna, this Victorian Colonial manor features decorative details including a portico with classical columns, acres of picturesque grounds graced by native gardens, a reflective pool, and graceful statues brought back from Europe by Leopold Schmidt.
The Schmidt House Mansion provides several indoor and covered/uncovered ceremony and reception spaces, including the famous Centennial Rose Garden, which boasts more than 230 bushes of 63 varieties of roses. Acres of meticulously manicured lawns and lush gardens further contribute to this fairy tale setting, creating the perfect place to begin your happily ever after. If you choose to say "I do" outdoors, our gorgeous high peak, white garden tents can comfortably accomodate up to 450 guests on the lawn, regardless of the weather. Envisioning a more intimate setting? The Schmidtt House parlor can accomodate 65-100 guests. Included in the venue rental is on-site, off street parking, WiFi, climate controlled rooms, and ADA accessibility.
Add DJ amd MC services to your ceremony and/or reception, with additional upgrade options including photo booths, lighting, and more! Our DJ's work closely with our couples and wedding planner to ensure your wedding celebrations go off without a hitch! We delight in delivering unforgettable, customized performances, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind celebration.

Food & Beverage Packages
Bridal Suite and Groom's Quarters: The morning of your wedding should be just as memorable as the ceremony itself. Enjoy spending time with your wedding party in the privacy of our cozy on-site bridal suite and groom's quarters, located on the second and third floors of the mansion. Our bride's and groom's quarters will make for an all-around easier day by ensuring your wedding party is on time and ready to go, while also providing a beautiful and convenient backdrop for your pre-wedding photos.
Tenting and Equipment: Elegant wedding tents, dance floor, white chairs, a selection of dinner and bistro tables, bistro-style lighting, wedding arbors, and assorted yard games. Additional items are available upon request.
On-Site Host: An on-site host will be available from from checkin to checkout to help ensure your wedding day runs smoothly.
Complimentary Wedding Planner: Juggling all the details of wedding planning can be a daunting task even for the most organized couple. As experienced professional event planners, we help guide you through the process. After booking, we will have a get-to-know-you phone call or meeting to learn more about both of you and to discuss all aspects of the wedding. Throughout the planning process, we will be available through phone, text, and email to ensure your questions are answered. As professional planners, we have many resources and recommendations for anything and everything you could possibly need for your wedding day. Your base wedding package includes up to 10 hours of wedding consultation/planning services. Upgraded plans and packages including additional consultation services, day of wedding coordination, and concierge services are available for an additional charge.
